Bushtits are one of my favorite birds. Little acrobats, they flit about in groups gleaning insects from the trees. They are small enough to take a bath in a leaf. Like a parrot, they often eat by grasping food in one foot while hanging on with the other. The females have light eyes; the males' eyes are dark. Though generally brown and grey, there is quite a bit of variation among individuals.
