  Bees and butterflies aren't the only ones. Hummingbirds are pollinators, too. See the dusting of yellow on the top of his beak? He's been transferring pollen from flower to flower. The first photo shows the hummingbird version of licking his lips with his loooong tongue.

 Kona  Gaylord  Kamala - her Sanskrit name means Lotus.  They have a beautiful flute-like, haunting song, an ethereal sound of the forest. This one is at Descanso Gardens.
 A shelter pup filled with enthusiasm. He licked the camera lens as well as my face.
 An industrious Scrub Jay gathers an assortment of nesting materials including various size twigs, grasses and plant fibers. The nest is deeply hidden in the densest part of the bush.
