All are welcome  at The Blessing of the Animals, a Catholic tradition celebrated on Olvera Street in the Spring of each year.  Archbishop Jose Gomez blessed each animal with a splash of holy water as the procession of people and their beloved pets passed the stage.  It was amazingly calm and well-organized.  The sun was brilliant.  There were lots of smiles.
